DVD Authoring is:

Information gathering - Understanding your needs and vision for the completed DVD is a crucial part of the DVD authoring process.

Conversion - Converting film or video material to MPEG2 format and converting audio to Dolby Digital™ format.

Design - Designing and creating still and motion elements for the DVD. These include DVD menus, intros, and special features.

Programming - Scripts which enable and enhance the DVD viewing experience. Advanced DVD scripting allows for greater user interactivity and easier DVD navigation.

Authoring - Putting it all together to make the final DVD. Video and audio elements, menus and scripts are combined. Chapter markers are created for DVD navigation and remote control elements are programmed. DVD copy protection is added and the DVD is proofed and tested.

Output - DVD proofs are sent for your evaluation and
double-checking. DVD masters are created for replication.
